Tlumach is what happened when I stopped complaining long enough to write some code.
A hobby that got out of hand.
about.hobbyI'm a developer who translates in my free time. Every CAT tool I tried found some way to annoy me. I kept translating anyway, collecting notes about what should work differently. Over the years, those notes became fairly opinionated.
One person, one inspirer.
about.inspirerI made it alone, with thoughts and ideas from one person I call my inspirer.
Those ideas helped. The questionable decisions are mine.

about.frankensteinThe core ideas come from OmegaT. On top of them I added the things people coming from other CAT tools expect to find. The result is a bit of a Frankenstein.
Underneath: Elixir and Phoenix with PostgreSQL, Okapi for file formats, LanguageTool for the checks, CodeMirror for the editor.
Still working on it.
Tlumach is far from ideal. Building my own tool has given me a much more specific set of things to complain about. I hope it proves useful to someone besides me. It's in beta and open by invitation.
